ICE has been continuously escalating their violent tactics, terrorizing American neighborhoods, and killing people without repercussions. They aren’t making America safer, they are making us all less safe. This must stop. We must be there. We must stand in solidarity with our American family in Minneapolis, and across the nation. NOW! 📍 TOMORROW (Sunday, January 25) ⏰ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM 🗺️ Downtown Traverse City, Meet at Rotary Square (Union Street across from the post office) At 1:15 PM we march. We will walk a continuous clockwise loop through downtown Traverse City on the sidewalks - Union north to Front, east on Front, south on Park, west on State, back to Union. Repeat. Your presence matters. Your voice matters. Our community matters.

Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities. A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good actions on Friday, January 23rd in solidarity for Minnesota, and to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE's actions. A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought the protest.
